That's fair.
I don't dislike cats, but I'm not as enamored with them as others.

Let's see. I like their independent nature. I appreciate that no matter how much one attempts to domesticate them that there is always something in them that remembers. It is why "presents" in the form of dead animals are given, is that not so? Yet these actions are done out of love rather than a desire to simply kill. If it was simply for a base desire as food, there would be nothing brought back. I like how they hold grudges.

As for what I don't like, I suppose I dislike very little. I dislike their demanding nature, but that is about all. But as far as physical characteristics, I suppose there isn't anything I like or dislike to a great degree enough to even mention.

Then I suppose it is all right to inform you that, upon the next time you see me, there may be a new addition to my physical features that are somewhat hard to explain. However: due to uncovered memories, I have determined that I am from some kind of world inhabited by cat-people.

As in, people with the characteristics of cats. Not those who love cats. I could be both, but this is a little more on the nose than I would have expected.

I am happy to inform you that I am not that demanding. In fact, I believe I am more lenient than most.

Cat-people, hm. That leaves me curious as to what physical features that you now have, but you certainly sound distressed by them. Will you be all right?

Can a cat-person own a cat? Or is that considered too odd?

You never did seem like the demanding sort. And to be clear, I don't mind selfishness. It is demanding selfishness that I frown a little at, haha.

Ears. And I am not too distressed, for the most part... I got that out of my system earlier this month. I should be okay, though getting used to hearing things that I could not before is a little bit of an annoyance.

I do not think it is too odd, but I would like to rethink about getting one. I am finding that my body is not rejecting the idea of my own fur. Perhaps a cat cannot be allergic to itself.

Being selfish is difficult on my part, though when I think about what I do that could be considered as such? Quiet time in the break room, a mug of tea before bedtime, leaving to run more errands during the day... though that last one is only because of having my employees back.

Upon reading the word "ears," I have to admit I was immediately curious if it was a cosmetic or truly physical. I am pleased to have my answer so quickly.

So you're becoming your own pet?

That's hardly selfishness. It's more being comfortable, isn't it? There are similarities to them in practice. I think it would be good to indulge yourself as much as you like. You can blame it on suddenly gaining more cat-like qualities.

If they were merely cosmetic, then I would be happy to take them off when I could. However, even after tugging on them quite a few times, they do not appear removable.

That is... well, I suppose that we are all our own pets. Maybe. I think.

Haha, I could do that. That certainly would be a great excuse, but I may become a little guilty over time abusing what could be even further additions to my... ah, self.

But how are you, Kei? Have things been relatively peaceful for you?

Become a little selfish might be a good look for you, though. Haha.

And well, nothing is on fire, so I will say that it has been relatively peaceful.

Nothing being on fire is a clear indication of peace. I am glad that you are not currently dealing with such a predicament.

It does not hurt that much. I had a friend stress-test them as well.

I still do not like the idea of doing things one hundred percent for me, even if I deserve it. Working hard should be its own reward, right?

It would be a difficult one. Stop, drop, and roll seems like a wise decision at that point, but sometimes, people run around in circles instead. I'm mostly smoldering on the ground, so it is fine. Haha.

It should be its own reward, yes, but it isn't. After all, what's the point of working hard without having something that you're striving for?

I believe it is instinctual to run around on fire instead of dropping down and rolling around in hopes of extinguishing it. But if you are smoldering, I would be glad to pour a bucket of water on you.

A customer was very surprised by my acquisitions and decided to tug on them firmly. It was... not great.

I suppose that I usually do not frame it within my own aspirations, but rather of those of my family. Owning a business is something my mother wanted to do for the longest time, but never had the chance to do.

My father gave me my restaurant. So it seems we are both living the dreams of others'. But you aren't quite like me, Leon. You still could experience some level of selfishness that is all your own.

Just let me know when it gets to be too much water. There is probably a fine line between 'on fire' and 'drowning'. And I certainly would not mind some assistance in that regard, they seem to be very sensitive and... oddly flimsy. The skin is so thin and the fur oddly plush.

Perhaps one day I will find a reason to be selfish. Or at least, a better reason.

Ah... really? I suppose being pet does not feel awful. It has happened already, and while I am not a creature looking for comfort, it does provide an ample amount.

How are your weekends? Mine tend to be a little more relaxed than most, as most of my business is made up of students that like studying in the cafe during the normal week.

Easter will be a free day for me. I will leave it up to my employee if he wants to have the shop open on that day, but I will be taking it off. So, seems like a reasonable time to meet, yes?
