I don't know, Nanashi. [ and he tries to hide his sadness, especially when not even Leon knows who his past self is. ] I'm sure that I will eventually mirror his physical characteristics, but I can't tell you how he acts...

[ thinking. thinking. ]

... though, he is more likely to display anger or annoyance compared to happiness.

I just wonder if I will want to be the true me. What if he knows more about business than I do? Or about cats? Those are important things.

[ a polite laugh as he gets out of his chair and goes to refill his drink. ]

But I won't forget you. Or anyone else. Or even myself. It'd be hard to.

[ but would it be harder than just remembering things out of the blue? a msytery. ]

... do you want any more coffee? And does your little bird want anything else?

I want more coffee...I'll take a nap if I don't get caffeine in my blood stream.

[Nanashi looks at the demon bird.]

You could certainly forget the 'old' part.

[ this time, his laugh is louder but doesn't lose the warmth or the happiness that he feels hearing Nanashi. ]

Coffee? Okay, here. I'll just bring the pot. It's great, isn't it? I'm lucky to have Jamie, he's a lot smarter than I am when it comes to this.

Do you want a snack as well? The sandwiches are fresh, I made them this morning.

I won't be forgetting the old part anytime soon.

[He laughs in return.]

You're really lucky, I agree. I'd like a snack if it's no trouble. A sandwich would taste good with coffee.

Feel free to take one. [ and he gestures at the table, where the sandwiches sit--- all ready to be eaten. ] And if your demon wants one as well, take another as well.

[ he stares at the bird, still a little... unnerved by it, but as it does seem to be relatively tame? all is well. ]

Will there be more? Of them, I mean.

I don't know. I've only got this demon with me. He's on his best behavior because I shoved a gun down his throat yesterday.

[He is so proud of it.]

No problem, Nanashi. Feel free to come by any time. I usually have extra snacks around for employees and students, so my pantry is open to you... within reason, of course.

[ he double-takes. ]

I'll remember that. I get hungry sometimes so...it helps.

[He doesn't get lunch whenever he misbehaves!! Leon's here to save the day.]

Or... perhaps you could sic your demon on people instead? Maybe guns aren't necessary.

I'm not too bad. I remember how to fight with it.

[He can shoot a few bullets and not miss. ]

It might be necessary.

Caladrius is a demon that can heal people. His power has limits too. I wouldn't rely on that too much.

[ carefully, he gives the bird a gentle pat on the head. ]

Amazing. I can't help but be envious. But, I would prefer you not use your gun unless absolutely necessary... of which I am sure you don't take having one lightly.

He's not all that powerful. All he can do is fix up smaller injuries.

[Nanashi looks up at Leon sadly.]

I grew up around real weapons and I've seen how stupid people can be with them. You can trust me to not pull any idiotic stunts.

[ still. he can't help but be concerned anyway. ]

[ as he slowly cleans up the plates, the cups, and gives the demon one more pet. ]
